JAZZEDY, which is a contraction of Executive Chef and Owner D.C. Bland II's two daughters, Jasmine and Kennedy, and his passion for playing jazz and gospel bass guitar, began while he was a student at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, AZ in 2009.
He wanted to create a culinary enterprise that sought to marry the "art on a plate" techniques used in haute cuisine restaurants and bistros with the affordable, soul-satisfying food found in mom and pop cafes and diners.
Incorporated one year after Chef D.C. graduated in 2011, JAZZEDY initially provided Personal Chef and catering services to our clients in the Metro Phoenix area. After numerous requests, we have added culinary classes and are now in the process of developing our mobile kitchen concept in order to offer selected menu items at local outdoor events, festivals, and fairs.
